Hot, Soothing, Much-Needed Relaxing Bath Checklist (Originally Desired, and Harsh, Cruel Reality):
Originally Desired:
1) Peace and quiet;
2) Lots and lots of bubbles, salts, oils, etc.;
3) Laptop to play Eddie Izzard DVD;
4) Cold, delicious Riesling wine;
5) And of course, piping hot water.
Harsh, Cruel Reality:
1) Phones ringing off proverbial hooks with calls from well-meaning family members and mis-dialed numbers;
2) Can only seem to find old salts that have lost their yummy smell;
3) Laptop needs extension cord, which I spend 20 minutes finding, only to realize that ol' lappy refuses to turn on
anyway;
4) Cold delicious wine trapped inside horrid bottle, as corkscrew broke and got stuck;
5) Hot water has gone cold and slimy with salts as I attempted to fix electronic nightmare and liberate delicious wine
from confines of hellish bottle.
Result:
Sitting in front of desktop (trying to type around hubby's flight sim. equipment)drinking beer and warm fruit punch from small boxes whilst I curse at my notebook and attempt vainly to fix it.
Oh well, at least I'm attractively smooth and fantastically soft.

Well, we've been up in Edmonton almost every weekend now, with Nanny getting sicker and sicker. It's been hard on all of us, especially since one of the dogs, Ollie, just died last night. We think she's waiting for Nanny so they can walk to Heaven together, since she was her favorite of all the dogs. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, enough tears for this moment in time...more will come later, but for now....happy thoughts.
In the meantime, I'm so worried about work...I haven't been working with al this going on, so we have no money...but I want to be here, and Greg wants me here, so here I stay. We got the line of credit upped to the max

Well, a anew year, and so far, new problems. Totally broke, and more than a little sad, since hubby's grandmother is not expected to be with us much longer. So, visiting as much as we can, which unfortunately means less income as well, but it's the right thing to do.
Can't find the deviation....GAAAAAAAHHHHH!
I've been searching for an HOUR, and I can't find the deviation I had as my previous wallpaper....and of course I forgot the fave it. Although I really thought I had...in fact, I was SURE that that's where I found it to begin with....but no such luck. DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT!!! Very irritating.
Oooh, might be getting an electric guitar....w00t! Very fun...we have to wait and see, though....it still may not happen.
Blah blah blah, blather blather, rubbish rubbish. Really just killing time until my dad-in-law shows up. He's in town for the weekend and is staying with us, but he left late, so....awaiting his arrival and trying not to go too
ADD, procrastinating, but amost there!
Glarg....I really hate writing papers. I don't mind grading them, but writing them is a pain. Especially getting started. I always find that that's the worst part. Unfortunately, I find that if I do any of my body paragraphs before I do my intro, it just doesn't flow. I find it helpful to write up a detailed skeleton, but it's the actual first sentence that I get stuck on, even if I know how my intro/thesis should sound.
Oh well. I took a Dexedrine already, and that's helped quite a bit....now I just have to power through. But first!
